ToTravelIsToLiveIt was only last year that I began to understand how my sense of adventure spoke to who I was. Whether hiking, climbing, traveling, or exploring, I crave to push myself outside of my comfort zone. When I look back on this life, I want to have stories, and plenty of them. Don’t get me wrong, I love the physical possessions that I own – my computer, photographs, cute holiday decorations, my favorite scarf – but they pale in comparison to the intangible ones.

Experiences are my form of currency.

Although I didn’t realize it at the time, this concept was instilled in me as a child. I have the fondest memories of packing my suitcase or loading up our van, always eager to go on a grand adventure. Photographs of my best friend and I posing in various locations were displayed throughout our home. Yet even without these pieces of evidence, I possess a wealth of memories void of any expiration date. It’s becoming clear to me that this trait, this consistent lust for novelty and adventure, stems back to my grandparents. Even to this day, they inspire me to seek experiences beyond the routine of daily life. I should have known I was innately going to strive for my life to be anything but ordinary.

I’ve created this blog to share my journey and provide useful tips for those seeking an adventure. I hope that by following along, you too will tap into your sense of wonder and be inspired to introduce something new into your life!
